We love building for weddings, and this custom request was no exception.
The order was for an extra large Georgia wall hang using light-colored reclaimed woods. The clients wanted to know if we would engrave or wood burn their initials. Chad can totally do that, but suggested that the couple might want to have an extra special touch and order their own branding iron from the fine Atlanta maker, Gearheart Industry. They did, and it was super fun using the branding iron on this custom piece to mark Atlanta, where they met.
Since the couple plans on using the Georgia as a guest book for their reception, we added a hefty coat of polyurethane so markers will work great on the surface without bleeding or getting caught on the grain.
